Marie Louden Hanes Show
About
A painter and art historian, Marie Louden-Hanes joined the faculty of Findlay College in 1986. Her doctoral research in American Culture Studies at Bowling Green State University offered a fresh perspective on nineteenth-century urban women as identified in the illustrations and paintings of American artist Winslow Homer (1836-1910). In her own paintings, Louden-Hanes manipulates form and color and plays the resulting imagery against the shifting and seasonal patterns of light and dark as defined by the natural environment.
She is the 2015-16 recipient of the Richard E. Wilkin Faculty Chair, College of Liberal Arts, The University of Findlay.
